Project summary

An Internet suite to maintain interactive learning process was developed in cooperation with FORMEDIA, our Netherlands partner. The suite consists of three main systems:

Public part to represent an educational institution in the Internet:

extendable set of language versions (Dutch, German, English);
individual web-sites for each University department;
unlimited number of additional web-sites with an option of access restriction or without it;
various types of search, feedback functions, time-table etc.

Campus4U, an interactive communication system for professors, students and school attendants.
Full-functional all-sites Content Management System.

The internet suite performs regular synchronization of its data with the main database of an educational institution.

Full-featured public part of the Internet-suite provides for the following functions:

creation of special sub-sites with options to moderate and structure its content;
full text search both in sites content and specialized data areas.

Interactive Campus system is implemented for communication between professors, students, faculties and departments of a school.

The following features are available for students’ use, review and participation:

time-table;
events of current importance;
grades review and tests posting;
user groups;
files exchange;
forum discussions;
search of info about any person in the school.

Features available for professors:

building of courses with an option to upload additional materials;
participation in forum discussions;
file exchange;
search of info about any person in the school.

All school faculties and departments can create their individual sub-sites and manage their content through a login secured restricted area.

Content management system allows for maintenance of public part content of the Internet suite.

Access rights distribution mechanism both for users and content was implemented in every system. Students and professors are synchronized with the Internet suite database.
